‘Bonnie’ Bunny, Bibs & Bears

It’s been one of those weeks, you know the ones I’m talking about – your ‘to do’ list has more things on it than usual & you find yourself at the beginning of the week wonder how you will get through it all,  but you do & here we are again at the end of another week. I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been up to this week.

Bonnie Bunny

A super Easter Treasure for a young-ling or  a young-ling at heart.Bonnie Bunny collage

Bunny  is all  finished;  I decided to call her ‘Bonnie’.

Bonnie has it’s origins in several different countries, mostly European & American & for most places it means the same thing – Pretty, except for Scottish which means Pleasant. Both describe Bonnie Bunny very well.

Bonny’s face is all hand embroidered, she has cute little pink & white gingham bloomers & a bright yellow dress & matching bow with the cutest pink & white gingham chicks on them that perfectly match the bloomers & her long pink ears.  From the top of her head {not including the bow} to her feet she is approximately 34 cm tall & approximately 17 cm sitting.

She is soooo adorable, I have had so much fun making her I am going to make another one, this time a little boy Bunny.  And I have already put several more patterns from Oh Sew Dollin in my wish list. If you see any patterns by De Powell in her Etsy shop that you really like let me know by leaving a comment below.

Also – if you are looking for baby names or know someone who is this is a great site … http://www.babynameguide.com/

Animal Themed Bibs

This set of 3 animal themed bibs has been made from a ‘Precious Patterns’ design.  I love theses little bibs with there super cute animal faces, there are a couple more designs in the pattern, but the three I have made up here are the Dog, Monkey & the Frog.   The body of the bib is soft flannelette, front & back, so they gentle of delicate skin  The faces have been hand appliquéd using blanket stitch.

Teddy Bear, Pants & Top set

Great gift for a Newborn.Teddy set collage

This Newborn gift set is made up of a teddy {Funky Friends Factory’s Honey Bear}, pants {made from Rae Hoekstra’s Bug Butt Baby Pants – a great site to visit if you want to see these little duds in action} & a little matching singlet which has had a couple of the pictures from the pants & teddy fabric hand appliquéd onto the front.  The ribbon on the teddy can be easily removed.  Do you know someone who is expectiong a baby? This would make a great gift for them   😉

New Designer – New Patternclucky pattern

With Easter just around the corner I have been looking for ideas for things to make with an Easter them.   The latest one I have found is this pattern from Melly & Me called Clucky.  I love how the baby chicks can sit in her wings – this will be next weeks project  🙂

All these new lovelies will be add to the shop over the coming week.  And don’t forget to leave a comment below & let me know what you think of them or if there is something else you would like to see at Nittens & Patches.

Happy Adoption Day Georgie Boy

This week we celebrated  one whole year since Gorgeous Georgie Boy came to play at our house.  It’s hard to believe it has been a whole year,  but we are very happy he did.  He has become a part of the family now.

Until next week …

Love Mignon & Georgie   🙂
